EPD

Publish an EPD your customers and regulators will accept

A verified, comparable, programme-operator-format Type III Environmental Product Declaration, built from a full LCA and aligned to ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2.

  • ISO 14025
  • EN 15804+A2
  • ISO 21930

Typical timeline: Typically 3 to 6 months from kick-off to publication, depending on data availability and the PCR.

What it is

An EPD is a standardised, independently verified summary of a product's life cycle environmental performance, published in the format of a recognised programme operator. It allows your customers, your procurement counterparties, and the public to compare your product fairly with others in the same category, against the same rules, the Product Category Rules, or PCRs.

Why it matters

Public-sector tenders, BREEAM and LEED credits, large-customer procurement, and a growing number of regulations (CSRD, ESPR, CBAM) now expect or require an EPD or equivalent product-level environmental evidence. An EPD is the document that turns your internal numbers into something an external party can trust.

What you get

The deliverable

  • 1A pre-EPD gap assessment if you already have an LCA.
  • 2A full LCA built or refreshed to the relevant Product Category Rules.

  • 4Support through the third-party verification step.
  • 5A registered and published EPD, ready to share.
The process

How an EPD project runs

  1. 01

    Scope & PCR

We confirm the correct product category rules and programme operator for your product and market.

  2. 02

    Data collection

We gather production data and complete or refresh the underlying LCA to the PCR's requirements.

  3. 03

    Modelling

We compile the results into the prescribed EPD modules and format.

  4. 04

    Verification

An independent verifier reviews the EPD against ISO 14025 and the PCR, a step we can also perform for other consultancies' EPDs.

  5. 05

    Publication

We manage registration with the programme operator so your declaration is published and searchable.

FAQs

Common questions

Product Category Rules define exactly how an EPD for your product type must be calculated and reported. We identify the correct PCR; if none exists, we advise on the options.
